DoorTek 200 Series
np200 Node Processor
This is the main distributing processor board, which provides battery-backed memory for the database and separate ports to communicate with the PC/Server and via the icp200 Intermediate Communications Processor with the 201 Reader Interface Module and the 203 Input/Output Module. Each np200 has the capacity to control 16 readers, 4 elevators up to 24 floors each, 192 alarm inputs and 192 outputs. It is able to provide full security access control even in the total absence of communications with the PC/Server. If communications is lost, the np200 stores the event transactions for retrieval when communications is restored.
icp200 Intermediate Communications Processor
This module provides a control point for up to 4 readers, 48 alarm inputs and 48 outputs. It recognizes and processes many different Wiegand card formats and standard Magnetic Stripe formats. It acts as a local processor for door alarm data. If communications is lost with the np200 Node Processor or 280cpu Single Node Processor the icp200 makes degraded access decisions based on the facility code of the cards presented at it's readers.
ps200 Power Supply
The main source of power at each panel, the ps200 converts the AC transformer to DC voltage used by all modules. In addition to providing clean power, it also provides:
- RF/EMI Filtering • Back-up Battery Charging
- 12VDC Power Output LED • 5VDC Power Output LED
- AC Failure Detection LED • Battery Failure Detection LED
- Battery Relay Tripped LED • Ground Fault Detection LED
- Shield Fault Detection LED
201 Reader Interface module
This two door/reader module collects data from card reads and alarm data related to the two reader address. It controls electrified locking hardware on doors via two relays. It also controls the LED on readers and monitors door position switches and exit switches.
the 201 provides two Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) door control relays, rated at 5A@125VAC and 5A@30VDC. Door control timing, normally provided by the software through the np200 or 280cpu, is backed up on the 201 board via two potentiometers (one for each readers address. Potentiometer range is 1-60 seconds.
Request to Exit (REX) inputs are provided for locking hardware control during a non-card generated exit. Two Alarm Signal Processing types are provided via 6 input points on the 201 board. First, General Purpose Monitoring makes use of the six alarm inputs or secondly, ADC Auto Door Control monitoring which provides:
- Adjustable momentary open times
- Separate alarm annunciation of "Door Forced Open" and "Door Ajar"
- Automatic alarm shunting during the momentary unlock
- Automatic re-locking of the electric locking device upon door closing
- A "Non-Entry" message if the door is momentarily unlocked but does not open
203 Input/Output Module
This module collects data from up to 24 input (alarm) points and controls up to 24 TTL outputs that may be used with the 205 Relay Output Module or the 209 LED Driver Module. Two modes of input supervision are provided. Class "B" - "Trouble Supervision" or Class "B-ST" - Supervised Trouble".
204 Alarm Shunt Module
The 204 provides bypass relays for shunting externally monitored alarm devices such as Burglar Alarm System contacts, PIRs, Sound Discriminators etc. Separate adjustments for the two relays have a range of 0.5 - 90 seconds. The 204 Alarm Shunt Module works with the 201 Reader Interface Module.
205 Relay Output Module
This module has 6 relays that may be driven from the TTL outputs of either the 201 or 203 modules. The 5A@125VAC/5A@30VDC relays have SPDT Form C contacts and the driver circuits are optically isolated from the 201 or 203.
